Fruit
Fruit should be eaten:
- In small amounts (one half apple, a small slice of cantaloupe, a
few grapes or strawberries)
- In season
- As your health permits
It is best to avoid or minimize all tropical fruits except when you
are living in tropical locations. It is acceptable to eat the tropical
fruits when in the tropical climate because these peoples have used
these fruits as part of their dietary traditions.
Fresh or dried fruit should be cooked with a pinch of salt.
Since fruit juice is very concentrated, it also should be used in
moderation, as your health permits. Drink fresh fruit juice only,
not frozen or concentrated.
